Hello, and welcome to "The Halter Connection"!

This site began its life as a start page for our browser. We found that we were accumulating so many bookmarks that we couldn't manage or use them effectively. We decided to create a simple page of "connections" to the places we most often wanted to visit and this in turn became the foundation for this web site. We are currently presenting over 700 links, in a variety of categories, to what are often refered to as the most popular and useful pages as reviewed in the media, on other sites, and by us.

In addition to sharing this collection of links, we have created feature areas like our "Art Gallery" pages, to share many great works of impressionist and classical art that have long brought our family enjoyment. Be sure not to miss Michael's photography, the CADENCE designs page, schematics of our network, shareware sites & suggestion's, our original reciepes, and other various bits about the Halters' and our life with the net. Family members, please check out the "The Family Room" for current news about the family.

This site has been validated to HTML v3.2 compatability and was designed for a video mode of 800 x 600 at 256+ colors. Those who attempt to navigate this site at a lesser mode will find the pages quite cramped and will spend a lot of time on the scroll bars. Since many areas of this site are graphically intensive, most images will appear, at the least, bland with 256 colors and as complete nonsense with less.

This is, as are most other sites, a work in progress. Even while attempting to get this second version on-line we came up with more things we'd like to do -- so please stop back and see what we've come up with. And of course, we hope you enjoy what we offer now!
