Home CADENCE

From 1985 through 1994, we were the proud owners of the printed circuit design service bureau, CADENCE Inc. Our charter was to design aesthetic, precise, fast turn-around circuit boards for the electronics industry. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to design many leading edge boards, many of which are still in use today. Some of our more interesting projects were the commanders control console for the M1 tank upgrade, the floor of The Computer Museum's Walk-Thru Computer, assorted robots and some of the first 386 & 486 motherboards.

We had the wonderful opportunity to work side-by-side as partners for many years and we were sorry to see the industry change. As more and more hardware design was moved to the south and west coast, we saw the need for software expertise increase as the need for hardware designers decreased. We closed CADENCE in the summer of 1994 and moved on to more traditional forms of employment. We will always look fondly upon our experiences and the fun we had during those years.

The boards that you see on the next page are a small sample of the 1200+ boards that we designed during our tenure. We feel that they are a good example of why the tools to build a circuit board are called 'artwork'.  -- Christine
